Committees

West Japan Model United Nations aims to create quality debates that can result in fruitful resolutions in various global topics. To ensure the participants of all delegates, the leadership of WJMUN decided to focus on topic-specific committees with a maximum of 50 per committee. Our leadership team will be making relevant selections from member nations in each committee referencing the UN selections a year before the WJMUN conference.

Committee selection

For participants that have registered through the school registration form, WJMUN Organizers would directly contact your MUN supervisor regarding committee selection.

For participants that have registered through the individual registration form,  with the conference being right around the corner,  the organizers will directly send you your committee and delegation.

Thank you for you time and cooperation. Please contact us (wjmun@fis.ed.jp) if you have any concerns or questions.

Trade and exchange of goods, one of the fundamental principles of human society, exert an enormous impact on the decisions that nations make. It is our turn to take the responsibility of restoring the global economy while sustaining societies through resolutions in the Fourth West Japan Model United Nations Economics and Social Council.

Though improvements are being made, we are far from fair in this world. As mentioned in the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reduced inequalities, and peace, justice, and strong institutions are issues that we strive to achieve. With the theme “Pioneering a Promising Future”, the West Japan Model United Nations Human Rights Council urges all delegates to view issues from multiple perspectives and to promote the human rights of all people across the globe to a certain degree with realistic solutions.

WHA

With the latest pandemic, WHA is a committee on a rise for demand. Disparities between countries concerning access to vaccines are conspicuous. Society is not able to sustain its healthcare and global health policy. Therefore, through advocaction of health discussions, it would be in great hopes to find solutions to achieve the following objective: "the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health". When inequalities are eradicated, the world can be united as one to achieve harmony.

The General assembly is the largest body of the UN. All delegates with equal representation and fair rights for their voice, debate over a wide range of topics and issues of the international world. As the theme of this year's WJMUN is “Pioneering a Promising Future”, the council strongly wishes that beneficial, sustainable, and harmonious solutions assemble through cooperation between nations towards future.
